Happy Happy Joy Joy

Look what I received in the mail the other day.  It has taken me a couple of days to photograph it because of the sewing bee yesterday but first thing this morning I got the camera out!

A little while ago I sent some fabric to Cathy of Blueberry Patch as she was making an I Spy quilt to hang in her office - she is a school principal - how cool.  I have a huge selection of I Spy fabrics and I am trying to find good homes for some of it and this seemed a good home.  Anyway, I didn't expect anything in return but look what I received!
Seriously yummy!  I have no idea what this range is called and I haven't seen it before but I love it!!
Then there was some Frolic by Sandy Gervais
And YUM some Terrain.   I love Terrain - all those gorgeous colours!!!
And finally these pretty blues - these are screaming birthday gift for a girlfriend of mine already!
So a big thank you Cathy!  I will have fin playing with these that's for sure!
My gardener was supposed to becoming today so I was up and ready to go early.....then he cancelled.  No problem.  Seeing as I was already up and dressed I headed out to do some grocery shopping.  Found some yummy blueberries and they screamed muffins so what else could I do.  A bit naughty really as my boys won't eat them!  Way too fussy.  Never mind, I will freeze some but I certainly enjoyed a "couple" today!

Lots of sewing got done today but I am not ready to show you what I have been doing.  I am so close to finishing that I would rather wait and finish then show you a photo of the completed project.  All I will tell you is there are lots of them and they are for Ireland!

Just thought I would end with this pic.  It really is a hard life being a dog in this family!  Poor Snickers - you can see the word STRESS written all over her face.  This bean bag lives in my husband's office at home down beside his desk(hence the bag of paperwork in the photo). -There is a dog bed in pretty much every room in the house and the dogs take turns doing to rounds of the house all day when  the others are home.  Like I said - tough life!
Till next time.......happy stitching!

  2. Those look like wonderful fabrics for afternoon playtime! Can't wait to see what they become!

There is, indeed, something to be said for a dog's life. The only one who lives better than the dog in this house might possibly be the cat. :-)

  5. Pretty fabrics. I've got I-spy pieces out the wazoo and could offer some to anyone. If I had to have a bed large enough for Nikko in every room, I'd have to move out!
