Twas the night before......

Well it sure feels like the night before something big!  There are no stockings to hung but the boxes are stacked, ready and waiting.  The labels are printed, the customs forms have mostly been filled out.  I have counted the tinsel and chocolates and puddings and made sure there are enough.

We have cards to go with the Christmas boxes and cards to go with the quilts and notes to go with all of them.  We have pretty stuff and smelly stuff to go to the lone female soldier in the teams.

I have assembled the bits and pieces for lunch and made some morning tea.  I remembered to buy the milk, forgot to buy the bread but I can duck out for that in the morning.

I have tidied the house as much as I am going to - the journalist and photographer aren't coming to photograph my house!

My camera is charging  even my spare camera just in case.

No photos tonight - some time I will start to collect some photos to post when there are no photos - but tonight is not the night.  Plenty of photos to come tomorrow though.

Till next time.................happy stitching!

  1. good luck with the reporter..you are a star!

  2. Congrats on a wonderful project and effort! I want your autograph now you're famous! :)

  3. A lot of work and preparation about to pay off! Also...I received my package today...you are so generous! I love all the goodies and will be blogging about it tomorrow! Thanks again!

  4. A huge congratulations to all your ladies of Gumnuts. What a super effort to do so much in such a short time. I am sure that all who receive their package will be overwhelmed and thrilled with the contents. May they all enjoy their Christmas package especially the love and warmth that went into making the quilts.
A super super effort Jan-Marie and ladies you are an inspiration.
    (((HUGS))) Roz.
