Haven't got much time tonight - about to head out and pick up the boys from Youth Group- Guitar Hero doesn't usually go but Fly Boy and the kids from school managed to convince him as it is Twins Night. I bet he doesn't go next week but I am very happy to be proven wrong!
I received this in the mail yesterday. My non-blogging friend, Sandi, sent it to me! She sewed it using scraps and didn't like the result so she sent it to me to use as I wish. Not sure what I am going to do with it yet - it is quite large - and I think really striking. I will think on it for a few days. The photo does not do the brightness of the colours justice!
Sandi also sent me these for the International Charity Bazaar. Hmm, good pattern for a table runner.
And if any of you other Aussie followers should feel like making something from the Australian stall at the Charity Bazaar feel free........I won't say no to a little help.
And finally, I have just enough time to show you a sneak peak of a gift I am making for someone's birthday.
Can't tell you any more, you will just have to wait till I get it finished. Maybe tomorrow, maybe Sunday.
Till next time.................happy stitching!
well it is certainly BRIGHT xx
ReplyDeletewow! It is bright but I like it! cathy
ReplyDeleteCan you cut the black/bright quilt down the center, add black borders and make two Hero quilts? Good for Guitar Hero going with his brother------you never know, he may like it.
ReplyDeleteJan-Maree you are such a busy woman! I really admire all the work you do in making quilts for donation! Also your friend Sandi should know that her quilt is gorgeous! It's a beautiful modern design similar to what many of the modern quilt bloggers are creating! :)
ReplyDeletelovely post.xx
ReplyDeleteI think Sandi's quilt looks great! Using black for a background colour really does show the colours off. Maybe you can make it into two quilts?
