Today I spent a lot of time on errands - buying three new mattresses (my boys are getting too tall!), getting scripts filled, and other exciting chores. Then I came home to bake - my son is off to Youth Camp tomorrow with his church and I promised one of the lovely girls that I would make her some cookies. I know, you would think my son would want some too. He only agreed to take some when I pointed out that if the boys in his cabin realised one of the girls' cabins had some and he hadn't taken any for his cabin he might be in trouble.
So, I made Milo Cookies
Chocolate Chip Cookies which I didn't photograph but which you will see if you click on the name and ANZAC biscuits.ANZAC BISCUITS
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup plain flour
1 cup sugar
¾ cup coconut
125g butter
2 tabsp golden syrup
½ teasp bicarb soda
1 tabsp boiling water
Combine oats, flour, sugar and coconut. Combine butter and golden syrup, stir over gentle heat til melted. Mix soda with boiling water, add to melted butter mixture, stir in dry ingredients. Place tabsp of mix onto trays, allow room for spreading. Cook in a slow oven 20 minutes. Loosen while warm, then cool on trays.
A few more chores then it was time to drive Guitar Hero to KFC for work then come home and supervise a reluctant Fly Boy with his packing for camp. Just finished that and it was time for a quick dinner out for hubby's birthday - which is tomorrow but he is leaving for Hawaii for work (really!!!) at 5pm tomorrow. After dinner, home again for a few minutes and off to collect GH from KFC again! 25 min boring drive each way! Ugh!
At least, once I got home I had a little bit of sewing time!
Oops, that was a bit of premature posting, pushed the wrong button. Will be back later if I can - still uncooperative internet and sewing time willing.
