Cookies and more...

Just a quick post tonight as it is already late and need to get to bed so I am ready to go tomorrow.  Started the day with another batch of cookies for the freezer and then for the Christmas cookie tins that I am planning to give away.  This time Confetti Cookies which are a simple sweet cookies with 100's and 1000's in them.
Confetti Cookies

185g butter
160g sugar
1tsp vanilla
1 egg
280g plain flour
100g 100s + 1000s

Beat butter, sugar and vanilla on speed 4 for 30 seconds.
Add egg, beat on speed 4 for 10 seconds.
Add flour and 100s + 1000s, mix on interval speed for 30 seconds.  Open lid, scrape down sides of the bowl with spatula and mix another 15 seconds on interval speed, using the spatula to help incorporate.
Roll mixture into a 30cm long log.  Roll in plastic wrap.
Place in the fridge for 2 hours to chill.  (Alternatively, place in the freezer for 20 minutes.)
Slice into 1cm thick slices.  Place on baking tray lined with baking paper.
Bake in moderate oven for 12 minutes.  Rest on tray before removing to wire rack to cool completely.

The rest of my sewing time today was spent on these -
These will be hand made Christmas decorations like the one I completed last night.  It has taken me hours to  cut out all the shapes and fuse them.  My favourite is the camel I think.  Each of the stars is sitting on their backing piece - i dare not separate them as I would never get them back in their pairs!
And the fiddliest was Joseph and Mary.  The worst thing is that almost at the end of all the fusing my lovely little travel iron died!!!  Agghghghg!  I need this iron as with my arthritis a normal iron is too heavy and my hands hurt too much.
I had to get out my little clover iron to finish the fusing.  Just not the same!

Before I go don't forget to check out my giveaway for the Quilter's Gallery Blog Hop.  You can check it out here and make sure that you check out the list of all the other bloggers who have giveaways going as part of this as well!  There is some great stuff on offer and some lovely blogs to look at.

Now I am off to bed, so til next time............happy stitching!
