Pay it Forward!

On the 14th of March Kim, also know as Bahama Dawn on the wonderful blog of the same name, posted here about Pay It Forward 2011.

She said
"With all the chaos going on in the world right now life can be pretty depressing.  It is so confusing who to help and which cause to donate to.  There are small things we can do for the people around us that make a difference and cause a ripple effect, because in the end what goes around, comes around.
Some in the blogging world are starting to pay it forward thru their blogs.  The theory is if you do something good for three people, and those people each do something for three more people, and this keeps on going, hundreds and hundreds will be touched.
Fellow bloggers I encourage you to join me and continue this thru your blog.

I LOVE Bahama Dawn's work so of course could not believe my luck when I realised I would be the first to comment and I also love the idea of Pay It Forward.  This week my little gift from Bahama Dawn arrived and I love it!  It is a cute little zippered pouch just big enough to hold my rotary cutter.

I won't waste it on my rotary cutter though.  I intend to use this week when I go away with my gorgeous husband for a couple of days and it will hold my little hand stitching project!

Now it is my turn to Pay It Forward - the first five little birdies who leave me a comment
below will receive a small handmade gift from me.

Please make sure I can contact you thru your blog or via email to get mailing/contact information and PLEASE tell me your favourite colour!!!

Even if you don't continue to do pass on the Pay It Forward on your blog (and maybe you don't have one and that is okay!) I hope I at least brighten my your day with my gift and you in turn pass on at least a cheery smile or a kind deed to someone in your world.

Till next time.....happy stitching!

  1. Oh wow - That's such a gorgeous little bag!
I've always loved the movie "Pay it Forward" and the subsequent idea of 'paying it forward' - doing something special for someone else that they can't necessairly do for themselves, and only desiring for the gesture to be shown to other individuals who themselves need help. Such a good movie, and such a good way to live one's life!

  2. I like the idea of Pay it Forward. Back in the mid 80's I was a divorced mom of two. One winter I was very sick for several months and friends and co workers helped me with food and rent money. I was overwhelmed by the generosity and I asked my Mom, How will I ever pay them back for everything! She said you won't, you will help others in the future. I do it as much as I can, every day.

I am leaving a comment, but I would like to pay it forward. Please share my handmade gift with someone else.

    Thanks!
