How Lovely!

I am so exited and delighted and honoured to tell you that Betty Lou from Sugarland Quilts has awarded me a

What a complement from a fellow quilter!  Betty Lou is a wonderful quilter and does lots for charity including Little Dresses for Africa and Quilts for Valour.   You should go and check out her blog!

Now on to how the Stylish Blogger Award works.

Having been selected for the award I need to thank the blogger that gave me the award in my post and link to her blog.  Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou Betty Lou -  http://sugarlandquilts.com/

Then I need to select six stylish bloggers that I think deserve this award, having given them a little advance notice to see if they are willing to accept.

My selections are

Kelly from Kelby Sews
Joyce from Young By Design
Flo from Butterfly Quilting and
I had one other blogger inmind but I haven't heard back from her - I will add her if she is interested.
The third thing I need to do is share 7 things about myself

1.  I play the mandolin (a bit rusty) and am learning to play the guitar.  Let me tell you they are so right when they say kids learn quicker than adults!!!

2. I lived in Connecticut for around three years and loved it!  All that snow!

3. I love the beach, both the swimming and the sand on my feet, but I can't walk on loose sand any more as my knees hurt too much.

4. I LOVE Christmas-time - the trees, the decorations to carols!

5. I have WAY TOO MANY UFOs but I am working through them this year.

6. I spent 7 years in the Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller and 8 years in the Navy as an Admin Officer

7. My greatest weakness is chocolate!

I think that is about it.  Happy stitching!

  1. Congrats, Jan-Maree! Coffee, chocolate, men...some things are better rich! I like that saying!

  2. An air traffic controller, that it pretty intense. UFO's are a good thing----that way we know we always have a project to work on.
