Think pink

Just a brief post.  Had a lovely Mother's Day today.  Out to lunch with gorgeous husband and the boys.   Spent the afternoon sewing.  Managed to sew two pink disappearing nine patch blocks and two purple ones left over from last month.  Also managed to sew the four star blocks that I make for Celia each month to coincide with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.  And finally managed to string together all my 6 1/5 inch strips into one really long (about 24 yards!) strip.  Next it needs to be cut into 40 inch pieces and then those need to be stitched together.  I will have enough to make TWO quilts so I guess I will be giving at least one away.

I will iron the seams tomorrow but cutting the strips into 40inch lengths will have to wait for another day!  For now, it is bed time.  The painters are back tomorrow to hopefully blitz the job and get it finished completely.  I am planning to do a bit of cooking and then spend most of the day under quilts on the sofa as it will be too cold to do anything else with all the doors and windows open so I guess I will be either hand sewing or crocheting!

Till next time.....happy Stitching!

  1. Pink is such a happy color! I know you will be so glad when the painting is done. But at least you have some pretty quilts to cozy up with!
