Just managed to squeeze in a little more sewing today. I should have been sewing my Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilt but because I spent yesterday working on the windcheater for my niece I decided that I better get back to my Christmas quilt - which I first showed you here. This will have to count as my Scrappy Sunday efforts this week! I started this at the quilt retreat I went to last weekend and it is really a scrap quilt as I am using up all my bits and pieces of favourite Christmas fabrics and have only bought about four salt dye fabrics as I needn't a couple of plains to take away just in case. The stars I am making are definitely scrap stars and I love em! These are today's effort. I really like all of them this
but it is the little details that make some stand out from the others. All I had of this Santa fabric was this 2 1/2" square so I was so pleased to be able to use it in this!
These are the stars I had already done!
There are still quite a few to do - tomorrow's job I guess.
Till next time..........happy stitching!
Very pretty Christmas blocks - you will have gorgeous Christmas quilt when done!
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas stars are lovely. I know what you mean about the little touches like your Santa. I have felt the same way with some of my bow ties, which I have fussy cut little touches. It makes it kind of fun.
ReplyDeleteYou mean you can actually use up ALL of a fabric?! ;) Very nicely done!

I love your scrappy stars. I had some of that santa fabric but I think I used it all up. It made a beautiful back on a Christmas quilt. Can not wait to see some more of your stars.
